Who We Are and What We Stand for...

Modern Manna is a Bible-believing, non-profit organization whose purpose is to spread the three angels' messages of Revelation 14:6-12 to all nations and peoples. This last day message is "to make ready a people" (Luke 1:17) prepared for the soon coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. First and foremost, it is a message of salvation through grace, which is freely offered to everyone who will accept God's power to transform him or her from a child of disobedience into a righteous son or daughter of God.

For our example, Jesus has shown that our labor for the salvation of mankind should include the restoration of the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. The Bible says, "And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching... preaching... the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and... disease." (Matt.4:23, emphasis mine).

Modern Manna's goal, therefore, second to preaching the gospel message of salvation, is to proclaim the good news of better health through obedience, both physically and morally, to God's laws and to educate our readers in alternative, natural remedies for illness. We do not believe that the health message is the gospel, but that it is the "right arm of the gospel." It gives His ambassadors a more effective representation and presentation of the gospel God has given them to proclaim to the world when they radiate a health that gives them the ability, mentally, to properly understand the gospel, and bodily, the physical strength to carry out their mission effectively. We do believe that our bodies are "the temple of the Holy Ghost" (1 Cor. 6:19), and we are not to defile them!

Modern Manna believes that the world is in a depraved state and is in desperate need of the Bible temperance message, (see Gal. 5:23; 2 Pet. 1:6; Acts 24:25; 1 Cor. 9:25; Titus 2:2), in order for its hearers to appropriate the blessings and benefits of the gospel message. The world is filled with sickness and disease because people are stuffing themselves with excessive amounts of meat, fat, cholesterol, sugar, alcohol, tobacco, and drugs. Many Christians who claim to have put on "the mind of Christ" are unwitting slaves to their appetites and passions.

Modern Manna believes that disease could be prevented if we would eat of the Manna from heaven again. Modern Manna is a "modern day" heavenly, health message that is filled with practical instruction for the people of God. It advocates a very simple, natural vegetarian fare (Gen. 1:29) just as God provided His people during their Exodus from Egypt, when He first tried to lead them into the Promised Land. May we not murmur and lust for the flesh pots of Egypt (as ancient Israel did), especially when the animals are so sick themselves! "The world needs today what it needed nineteen hundred years ago—a revelation of Christ. A great work of reform is demanded, and it is only through the grace of Christ that the work of restoration, physical, mental, and spiritual, can be accomplished." (The Ministry of Healing, pg. 143, 1905). Incidentally, our needed revelation—Jesus Christ—is called "the Living Bread which came down from heaven." (John 6:51). Therefore, Modern Manna must include the Word of God, the written revelation of the "Living Bread," to fulfill its ministry. This is our mission statement.
